STUDENT MEMBERSHIP is for any student specifically on a course to qualify in Sports Massage Therapy at any level, not for applicants who are in full or part-time education for any other qualification. In order to register and be approved for this category, please complete the application form online and upload supporting evidence to prove your place on an eligible Sports Massage Therapy course. This could take the form of a welcome letter or payment receipt and will ideally also demonstrate the dates you are due to attend your course in person. We may ask you for information on attendance dates if we cannot easily find it. If you are from an SMA Accredited School, they may have enrolled you en masse - please check with your course leader BEFORE paying for your membership. The SMA takes a firm stance on courses delivered on an intensive basis. You can find more information HERE - or email us for more information if you are not sure about whether or not your course qualifies you for membership. COST Student membership costs £25 (GBP) per annum for membership alone and most members do not require more than one year's membership to complete their course. During registration, you will also be given the option to add a quarterly subscription to the hard copy journal and online content produced by Co-Kinetic for qualified members. Upon graduation from a Level 4 qualification (or higher) the first year's Full membership is discounted from £125 to £50 in order to help you with your business set-up expenses. This represents fabulous value for money. INSURANCE Student insurance is available at a cost of £20 per annum through Balens Specialist Insurance Brokers for up to £6 million of cover for SMA Student Members - you will be able to apply for this from the Student Members Area once you have joined and been approved.
