8 Soft Tissue Therapists required for the British Heart Foundation Blenheim Palace Half Marathon & 10K. Student volunteers will be supervised by SMA member Bryony O'Dowda. Full SMA members are welcome to vounteer if you wish.

Approximately 4,000 participants will be in need of some post-event soft tissue therapy following 1 of 3 races. The event takes places on Sunday 2 October 2016 within the grounds and surrounding areas of Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, OX20 1PP. (OX20 1PX for sat nav)

Therapists will need to arrive at 11:00am and set up by 11:30am. There will be a dedicated section of a marquee for the therapists on the Flagstaff car park at the Palace. The half marathon is the first to start at 10.30am with the first participant crossing the line at approximately 11.35am and then the bulk of the runners at approximately 12-1.30pm. The 10k starts at 12.45pm and therapists should be free to leave by 15:00pm at the very latest.

Therapists will be provided with the following:

• Free British Heart Foundation T-Shirt (sizes are required upon application)
• A free food and drink voucher
• Reimbursement of £25.00 for incurred travel expenses

All therapists must have appropriate practicing insurance (Student insurance or full liability insurance if qualified) and  must bring a portable massage table with them.
